Hello,
For those counties that seek reimbursement of GAL fees, do you bill the petitioner, the ward’s estate, or the guardian?

I see this is an old post, but in Kent County, we send the invoice to the guardian or conservator but expect the payment to come out of the ward’s estate. If the ward does not have sufficient assets, they file a fee waiver, and, if approved, we waive the charge.
