Good morning, MPJRA!
I just wanted to reach out to everyone and update you on a pilot program that Mecosta County Probate Court participated in this week, along with a few other counties regarding conversion from PCS to WebTCS.
JIS hosted an immersive workshop where we were able to work with our actual data in a sandbox format, viewing data from PCS and how it converted on WebTCS, examining reports, and using mock daily casework to utilize WebTCS. This helped ensure that the conversion of our data into the new system was a success and that we were able to still have all the tools we needed to work through our daily tasks.
In my opinion the conversion tests were very successful, and JIS was very receptive to the feedback that participants had from big things to little superficial things. The attitude from JIS was truly that they want us to succeed, and they are there to help us do that.
We do not have dates yet for implementation for the official conversion, but for those of you on PCS, and who are not looking forward to big changes when converting, I wanted to share my confidence I have in the JIS team at this time. I am excited for our conversion and the tools that WebTCS will have in comparison to PCS. It will be worth the transition and we are in good hands!
Hope everyone has a great weekend, and you enjoy the sunshine!
Best,
Val
