    Good afternoon,

In planning for the upcoming conferences this year, we wanted to bring some things to your attention and seek your input. After the October conference, someone commented that we should ask MPJRA members to speak who haven’t yet had the opportunity. We wanted to make sure you are aware that we actually have a bit of a hard time finding people who will agree to present at conferences. If you are interested in presenting, please let us know, because otherwise we won’t know you are willing. Presenting isn’t as scary as it seems, and you can always present with a partner!

We are also looking for ideas on what topics you’d like to see covered at conferences. Please note that while it’s helpful to tell us on your conference survey that you would like guardianships to be covered, it would be extra helpful to be very specific – what is it about guardianships you want to learn, etc.

We are currently looking for speakers who are willing to present on emergency guardianships, DNRs for DD guardianships, or emergency conservatorship matters.

For the juvenile one-day conference, would you like a session regarding entering new Juvenile and NA petitions, and case flow? And if so, is there anyone willing to present on this?

If you have specific topics you’d like to see covered, or you’re willing to speak on a topic, please email me directly, and I will share the information with our planning committee.

Thank you, and have a great weekend.
    Amanda
